Plateau? I don't think so.
So my weight loss hasn't been great lately. It hasn't been bad; I haven't really gained much & when I did I lost it right away but the weight just isn't coming off like it did before. Most people would probably think I was reaching a plateau but I really don't know if I would call it a plateau, though, because I'm not doing what it takes to loose the weight. I'm not eating terribly bad but I'm not counting either & exercise hasn't been 100% for a few months now. I've continued to loose but not at the rate I was. If I was doing the best I could & still not loosing then I would call it a plateau but right now I'm just not holding up to my end of the bargin.
However, there is a silver lining to this somewhat hazy horizon. Even though I'm not conciously counting or exercising like a maniac, I have to some degree maintained over the last two weeks (lost 1.25 lbs then gained 0.25 lb). I'm kind of looking at this as a practice or preview of what I will need to do when I get to goal. I will always need to exercise not just to maintain my weight but to stay healthy & active & reach goals that I want to continue aiming for. I may not always keep a daily log of the calories I've eaten but I will always need to pay attention to what & how much of everything I consume. And, if I gain a few pounds, go right back to counting & measuring until I get my habits back under control.
So, even though the last few weeks haven't been the best, I'm not giving up & I'm not that upset or frustrated. :)
