Here is a snapshot of my life. I will talk about all aspects of my life here. Mainly, I will discuss my weight loss journey, my spiritual journey, movie reviews, book reviews, and whatever else that peaks my interest. I will also include some of my videos from my YouTube channel.
Happy happy birthday! I wish i could offer more advice on your knee but when my knees hurt they don't hurt back there. But you have to admit you have stepped up your game lately on the running. I know you generally feel good while running but maybe its too much too soon. When you run on the treadmill do you have the elevation raised any? Or just flat? You could lower the elevation(if its raised) that would take some stress off your knee. But i think you did the right thing backing off. Just feel your way forward. I'm a big believer in if it hurts don't do it. Getting sidelined for 6 months is one of my greatest fears. I don't know if i could pick myself up again and start running again after a long lay off. You know just enjoy yourself. You don't always have this much going on with eating out and six flags etc...and birthdays. Life will get back to normal shortly and you can resume your new way of life. Just keep in the back of your mind 'what ever you put back on you gotta take back off.' Maybe that will help you from straying too far. LOL! I hate gaining and having to lose the same pounds. Happy birthday again. Have fun. Jinx!
I talked to the ER doc last night at work & she suggested I rest for a couple of days then try again & see how it feels. Then she went on to tell me that running really isn't that good for your joints, particularly the knees. I told her that I knew that & I really don't plan on becoming this amazing runner but I'm really just doing it to prove to myself that I can do what I always thought impossible.
