What does one TRILLION dollars look like?

A packet of one hundred $100 bills is less than 1/2" thick and contains $10,000.

Believe it or not, this next little pile is $1 million dollars (100 packets of $10,000).

$100 million is a little more respectable. It fits neatly on a standard pallet...

And $1 BILLION dollars...

Next we'll look at ONE TRILLION dollars.

Well, it's a million million. It's a thousand billion. It's a one followed by 12 zeros.

Ladies and gentlemen... I give you $1 trillion dollars...

Eiffel Tower gets a new observation deck

This is pretty cool. I have mixed emotions about it, though. I'm a fan of history & not making modifications to historical emblems & such, but, at the same time, I find this pretty cool. I don't know. What do you think?

Eiffel Tower's Massive New Observation Deck to be Made of Kevlar Webbing

The Eiffel Tower has remained exactly the same for 120 years, but this year builders will be attaching a temporary, carbon Kevlar observation deck to its uppermost reaches. French architecture firm Serero will help Paris celebrate the 120th birthday of the tower by more than doubling the floor space at its top. We've got a full frontal tower view below.

The beauty of this addition to the tower is that there will be no modification of the existing tower — the observation deck will simply be bolted in place. This is one of the most ambitious temporary modification projects ever undertaken.
